Sold one vehicle & bought a Ford F-350 4x4 diesel. Got a honest 20 mpg on the 1,000 mile drive home from Boise ID. Now to just sell my other vehicle.

We just had 365,000 people give up even looking for work.
Truck sales up because the folks have had to sit on their vehicles for twice as long as they normally would because Obama's "recovery" has failed.

Obviously you don't want folks to drive the bigger vehicles proving all that crap you espouse about the President is true. I would suggest that you take a more positive view of the Administration, and in particular PU drivers. SOMEBODY has got money out there!
OR move to a state that is booming such as Oklahoma....where we have plenty of jobs and PU's too.

This should tell the government bureaucrats, people don't want to be told they have to buy tiny vehicles.

Are people and businesses realizing that Chucky's economy may be improving enough to warrant buying replacement vehicles and boosting sales for Pickup Trucks in the last 3 years? But 'coming out of the closet' Chucky's lousy, smoke and mirrors, lack of jobs, dog and pony show and in the crapper economy, jobs or good paying jobs are Not here. Chucky's economy is not improving but continues to hurt the population and the job numbers continue to be down – no matter how smoooooth talking Chucky spins those numbers and he can spin them very well! People will still drive and buy fuel no matter what but it sure helps to have a job too! Most pickups are single driver vehicles and will never haul or tow anything in their life span. Use some gray matter and drive a high MPG vehicle instead Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, has a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! 12/22/2012!

Although mine was fairly frugal for the time (16/19), I gave up on it long ago as it was still a fuel hog.

This is just a blip. I don't expect to see a sustained surge in private truck or car sales any time in the near future.

I hope that it is mostly fleet buyers and not the U.S. public buying oversize vehicles that they have no use for.
