take a look at the Libertarian party. third largest party in US.

How does the fact Canada, and Europe, and Japan, all tax fuel higher than the US make a difference - the fact is, Americans enjoy lower gas prices than just about any country in the world, other than large exporters like Saudi Arabia and Venezuela with oppressive governments, that essentially give away gas to citizens to mollify the natives while they're being stomped on in otherways? Yet Americans beef constantly about fuel prices better than all but a few in the world enjoy. The US likely should probably tax fuel much higher as well - as the world's largest crude importer for decades, it has sent a vast amount of American wealth to foreign oil producers, impoverishing its own economy while enriching others. The reason most crude-importing nations tax fuel highly is the taxes work - people choose vehicles and transportion and lifestyles that consume less, allowing their nation to retain more of its wealth. The tax revenue so collected needn't be a tax increase - but even if it is, it

Thanks. I'm a very wary optimist, a sceptic, and a sometimes worried consumer. You have to keep digging hard to find a little nugget here and there, the good overlooked in a sea of bad, or the bad in mountains of good news. The contrary view either way doesn't 'sell' all the time, but it should be considered and tested.

I agree about November. I'm still shocked and confused about the continued support and excuses being given BHO after 3 and 1/2 years of continued failure. I don't know what world they live but it's not mine. Take care.

Agree with your post today "Doing away with idiotic EPA regs and ethanol altogether ...". Of course, this would harm the current agenda. Stay safe.

Again I agree 100%. I'm so tired of Obama blaming Bush for his problems. It goes with the job. I NEVER heard LBJ blame JFK or Eisenhower for Nam. It's a problem that was there when the new president took over, DEAL WITH IT! It's your problem now. The biggest problem is Obama is not qualified to be & never should have been our president. Have a great week buddy.

I liked your comment on the Oil price manipulation seldom prosecuted under Obama article. I agree with you 100% & know we are on the same page. Thanks for speaking up too. Have a great day.

I have 2 57 Champion flatheads, and 64 six, a 63 V8 wagon as well as a 49 Kaiser flathead 6. Love to drive on secondary roads with a flathead 6 and overdrive. The slow road is often the pretty road too

Thanks for the comment. Its true what I said, which is why I have a bunch of Studebakers around to fix myself, and modern stuff which only goes to a dealer. I could afford more old cars if I didn't drive newer cars too!
