BluegrassIN says "Ethanol will seprate from the gas"
Yes, like Cold Fusion will happen. I've just never had it happen to me and don't know of anyone who had it happen to them.

Ethanol will seprate from the gas, this is hard on carburators ,like boats, weed eaters, lawn mowers and so on,we should have a option of straight gas or with Ethanol.

Our last trip we got 25 mpg using ethanol mix of at least 60% some was at 70% and above and had great results. Its going on 6 yrs with my 2005 Pt Cruiser never a repair and I have to say its one of the best cars I have owned in my 45 yrs of driving.

I din't know that the 82MPG was done on mountains. I thought it was done in a lab... The vehicle looks alot like the new Prius V but it was sponsored from GM.
Don't have to many mountains in Chicago area, but my mpg was doing city / highway (this tank had about 120 miles highway). Also a LOT of Stop and Go traffic and thousands of traffic signals that are NOT timed for traffic flow of vehicles. Also had about 20 miles of 1 mile back and forth from train station which lowers gas mileage of vehicle. And this is ACTUAL mileage calculated, not off the gauges from vehicle. Two drivers and one would probably match your bosses MPG figures given the chance...
Cold / Snow are not kind to mileage on Prius. This year my mpg (actual) is 50.53 according to actual fill ups using the Fuel Log Book.

"I got 57mpg in everyday driving, not on a test track, and NO PLUG-IN."
That is where you live. Here in the mountains you will get much less mileage.
My boss has a Prius and he only gets 42 on these mountain roads.
Another co-worker has a Jetta diesel and he gets 48 on the same roads. I once had a rabbit diesel that got 50 on these same roads. Wish I had it now and I would fuel it will used cooking oil and drive for free.
I was once in the market for a hybrid until I learned that they do not fare as well on these mountain roads.

Wonder how many ffv vehicles get anywhere neare 1/2 the figure. And odd that GM, the sponsor of the event, doesn't even offer ffv for the Chevy Volt!
I got 57mpg in everyday driving, not on a test track, and NO PLUG-IN.

Yes. Won't ever go back to E10. There are a few places in my local area. Found them at the following link. Pure-gas

Try telling that to Engineering students at VA Tech who won the Eco Car challenge this past summer. 82 mpg on a hybrid SUV using E85 is pretty good and much better than any other hybrid on the road.

Some stations do offer "pure gas". Do a little looking in your area to find them
